Премии журнала «Ellery Queen Mystery Magazine» вручаются по итогам голосования читателей журнала. Премии вручаются нерегулярно с 1946 года, и носили разные названия:
EQMM Contest (1946-1957, 1962)
EQMM-CWA Contest (1967, 1968, 1970) – вручалась совместно с Британской ассоциацией писателей детективного жанра (CWA),
EQMM-MWA Contest (1968) – вручалась совместно с Американской ассоциацией писателей детективного жанра (MWA).
EQMM Readers Award (премия читателей журнала EQMM) – вручается ежегодно с 1985 года.
Сейчас призеры определяются по олимпийской системе – 1-е, 2-е и 3-е место.

Понятия не имею, кто такой Дуг Аллин (вру, в Alfred Hitchcock Mystery Magazine он тоже публикуется, так что какие-то рассказы наверняка читал), но, по-моему, премии можно уже присуждать его имя.
